Terms of service

Last updated: 6 May 2026

1. Agreement

FlashRole is operated by Asher Corporation Limited in England and Wales. By using the service you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the product.

When you create an account, you're also accepting our . That means you're happy for us to collect and use the kinds of personal data described there — account details, career content you add, billing with Stripe, and so on — so we can run FlashRole for you.

We may update this page; the date at the top will change. For anything big, we'll try to email you or show a notice in the app. If you keep using FlashRole after an update, that counts as accepting the new version.

2. Accounts

  • You need to be at least 16.
  • Keep your login details private.
  • Give us accurate details when asked.
  • You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • If something looks wrong, tell us: support@flashrole.com.

3. Plans, credits, billing

Free tier: lets you try the product (what exactly is included can change — check the app). Card not always required.

Premium: billed monthly through Stripe (currently £15/month on our public pricing). That plan includes a monthly credit allowance as shown in the app. Unused monthly credits typically don't roll over.

Top-ups: you can buy extra credits in packs or amounts shown on the billing page. Pricing and pack sizes can change; we'll show the current numbers before you pay.

Leaving or cancelling: you can cancel Premium whenever you like from billing. We're not going to make that awkward — if FlashRole isn't for you, that's fine. You normally keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for, then the subscription stops renewing.

Subscription payments: each charge covers the billing period shown at checkout. Once Stripe has taken a subscription payment, that payment is not refundable — the money has already been collected for that period on the platform. That includes if you cancel mid-period: you still get the service until that period ends, but we don't send back part of the fee unless a court or mandatory consumer law says we have to.

Credit packs and one-off purchases: once a payment has gone through successfully on the platform, it's not refundable — same rule as subscriptions. We don't return money because you changed your mind or didn't use what you bought. The only exceptions are where we're legally required to refund, or a plain mistake on our side (for example you were charged twice for the same pack, or your card was taken but the credits never hit your account). For those, email support@flashrole.com.

Price changes: we'll give reasonable notice before putting subscription prices up.

4. AI output — read this bit

Suggestions are tools, not promises. They can be wrong. You still own your career decisions.

  • CV edits, cover letters, interview notes, company blurbs, salary comments, and similar features use automation. Output can miss context, be out of date, or plain get facts wrong.
  • You check everything before sending it to an employer.
  • We don't guarantee interviews, offers, or salary outcomes.
  • This isn't legal, tax, immigration, or regulated HR advice.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use FlashRole to lie to employers, to impersonate someone else, to scrape or attack the service, to share accounts to dodge limits, or for anything illegal. The full list lives in our .

6. Intellectual property

Ours: the app, branding, and codebase stay with Asher Corporation Limited. Don't copy or resell the platform.

Yours: content you type in stays yours. You give us a limited licence to process it so we can return the features you asked for.

Drafts: documents generated from your inputs are for your personal job search unless we've agreed something else in writing.

7. Privacy

The is part of these terms by reference.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, missed job opportunities, or mistakes in generated text.

In any 12-month window our total liability is capped at what you paid us in fees that year, or £50 if you didn't pay anything. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law (death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, etc.).

9. Availability

We run FlashRole seriously but can't promise 100% uptime. Maintenance, outages, or changes to features happen. We'll try to give warning when we can.

10. Suspension and closing accounts

We can suspend or close accounts for serious breaches, fraud, or non-payment. You can delete your account from the app; deletion flows are described in the privacy policy. We may retain some records where the law requires it.

11. Law and disputes

These terms follow the law of England and Wales and the courts there have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer rules where you live say different.

Before lawyers, email support@flashrole.com — we'll try to sort it out.
